Kawabata is a young artist known for his application of glass into the clay. When fired, the glass melts added unexpected interest to the forms. This teabowl has a wonderfully comfortable feel when held in the hands, and upon rotation one appreciates all the subtle effects of the glass, the clear crackle glaze and the lightness of weight.
