Description

Deeply textured burnt wood end grain has been hand embossed onto Willowcreek handmade watercolor paper.
This image has been finished with applications of sumi ink, acrylic and charcoal, and protected with layered coats of UV resistant acrylic spray.
Wall’s Burnt Wood prints are inspired by the blackened and charred woods cladding the exterior of Japanese buildings (Yakisugi), and by wood burned in the wildfires in northern California in 2020.
