Description

The artist had done an earlier painting series of sakura (cherry blossoms), but recently revisited the same subject matter in a new and “revolutionary” way–more spontaneous and gestural, with fewer occasions of backtracking and correcting. He says, “the “vibe” of the painting to me is that of triumphant blossoms emerging from the subtle shadows below, and the painting being a record of a sort of dance between me and Nature and it’s forms.”
