Description

A dramatic large size print, beautifully framed with silk matboard and narrow curved corner moulding. The frame has been painted the same color as the red ink in the image. The matboard is quite thick, with a large bevel hand-painted with silver.
The title is the same as that of the fifty-fourth and final chapter in Lady Murasakino’s famous Tale of Genji, written in 1008, and considered to be the world’s first novel.
