Description

This print is from the series Fifty-Three Stations of the Modern Tokaido. Hara was a station depicted in Hiroshige’s series in the mid 19th Century. It is near Mt. Fuji, hence the reflections on the tile roofs. A magnificent design and print. For this series, the artist was rewarded the Ministry of Education Award in 1975.
