Tancho Tsuru are the Japanese red-crowned cranes. The largest of the cranes and one of the largest birds in the world. Cranes symbolize fidelity since they mate for life. They are symbolic of longevity and especially of peace. Often paired with tortoises. See Mayumi’s same sized companion print ‘Discovering Zero.’
