Sold conservation framed with silk fabric mats and curved corner gold moulding

Osome and Hisamatsu is a famous play in Kabuki theater. In the play about lovers written in 1813, hayagawari or the quick-change technique was featured — a leading actor plays several roles at once and quickly change costumes between scenes. I love the way the faces of the pair are so closely entwined.
