This print was selected for James Michener’s famous book The Modern Japanese Print, which included ten works by contemporary Japanese printmakers. The book was sold in a wooden case with commentary from Michener in an edition of 510. Here Mori is depicting a pair of comic Shinto actors from the Kyogen theater.
