Jizo-in, known as the “Bambnoo Temple” is a Zen Buddhist temple of the Rinzai sect located in the Arashiyama district of Kyoto. It is famous for the lush “mosochiku” bamboo forest. The legend said that the well-known zen priest Ikkyu spent his childhood in this temple.
