Description
Carol Brigton’s new book, The Electricity of Now (Quelquefois Press Berkeley) is an artist’s book to the core. The author, a practicing fine artist and paper maker, wrote the poems: hand-set the type; carved the linoleum blocks; printed on a letterpress; and made the cover paper, with its cast Enso. These elements work together to map her spare yet rich observation of the world we inhabit – outer, inner, present, past, future.
