Mr. Arichi uses techniques such as etching and aquatint when making color copperplate prints. His use of collage of gold and silver sheets, creates a metallic texture as well as decorative flavor. He is able to create a feeling of transparency, brightness, and tranquility of color. This combination of color and surface texture create some optical effects impossible with printing ink in a factory.
